1. What are Anchor Logistics booking terms & conditions?
- All Bookings done through Anchor Logistics (Pvt) Ltd are covered by below terms and conditions:
a.
The Expiry date of your
rate applies to the date of Gate-In.
b.
Exchange
Rate would be set on the date of sailing based on international estimated
remittance rate.
c.
For CNF shipment, late
submission of SBP required documents will attract penalties.
d.
For all shipments, late
submission of manifest may attract penalties.
e.
The Line charges $4/$6
for 20'/40' per day for all standard export containers in use with shipper more
than 10 days prior sailing.
f.
10 days free not
applicable on cancelled shipments.
g.
Separate tariff for
special equipment, please check with Customer Service.
h.
This is a firm quotation
and only applies to your company under the name supplied to us.
i.
Your rate is not valid
for other destinations or different terms of shipment (TOS).
j.
Please keep all disputes
or complaints in writing.
k.
Please report any
inconvenience immediately.
l.
The rates/terms are
confidential.
m.
The terms of our
agreement are those on the reverse side of the Bill of Lading, a copy can be
provided.
2. What are Loading Program Charges?
- In order to reduce the number of FALSE booking Anchor Logistics has implemented a minimal fee of Pkr 150/- per Teu, this enables us to keep a close watch on all bookings and follow up with our valued customers.
3. Why are we being followed
regarding return of export full container?
- All shippers gets 10 days free on all export dry containers and 7 days free on reefer/special equipments from the date of empty delivered till the unit is loaded on board, to avoid advancement charges to our clients all clients are being followed for overdue export containers.
4. Why should we submit BL format /
Shipping instructions prior of vessel sailing?
- a . All shippers require original BLs to be issued immediately after the vessel is sailed from the port enabling them to start their internal document process.
b. we have targets set from our principals to complete the manifest of the vessel within 24 hours of sailing, helping us to achieve the same we need the BL formats at least 24 prior sailing of vessel.
5. Is there any deadline to confirm the BL draft copy? Why?
- Yes, all BL draft that are send to shippers for checking purpose must be confirmed or discrepancies highlighted within 3 working hours of receipt, this enables us in smooth process of BL issuance and finalizing the manifest.

The
documentation fee is the administrative cost to prepare and issue Bills of Lading
at the counter. This transaction involves our agency ensuring the correct data
is being input in the manifest & fulfilling all financial collections.
7. What are House BL AMS Charges?
- For all US based shipments if any Non-Automated NVOCC issues their House BL to shipper, it needs to be entered in US customs manifest, which acquires extra time and efforts to company, so a minimal amounts needs to be collected to cover the administrative costs, these are optional charges, shipper can use the LINE’s master BL.
8. Why do we need to submit bank documents?
- For all C&F shipments, Form ‘E’ certificate issued from relevant bank along with NOC certificate (if applicable) needs to be submitted in order to get the OBL issued, as these documents are essential requirement of State Bank for remittance purpose.
9. Why do we need to submit a copy of GD on units cleared thorough PaCCS?
- As there is no EGM in PaCCS, all shippers must file a Goods Declaration to customs a copy of which is collected from all shippers to cross check the details of OBL.
10. Why is there a penalty imposed on late submission of bank documents?
- This ensures timely submission of documents in state bank for remittance purpose to principals, of course these are OPTIONAL charges as clients may send the documents within 5 days for sailing of vessel.
11. What is manifest amendment fee?
- All corrections or amendments highlighted after the manifest is finalized will lead to manifest amendment charges, a minimal fee is collected to cover the administrative costs and reissuance of OBLs.
12. Why do we need to endorse the BL before surrendering?
- Shipper must endorse each Bill of Lading on the reverse side to the party, who the cargo shall be released to at the discharge port, enabling us to ensure the cargo is delivered to the correct party at destination.

14. Why do we need to submit our HBL?
- When NVOCC House BL is involved it needs to be submitted to State Bank along with remittance documents.
15. Why I am not being given a copy of telex release?
- Only a confirmation of telex release will be provided to the client to ensure confidentiality of destination agents and avoid forge releases.
16. Why was my container not loaded
on planned vessel?
- There may be several reasons of containers being shut out from vessel as mentioned below:
a. Billing Hold from terminal.
This applies if shipper has not paid all the relevant charges at terminal/port.
b. Operational Holds
This applies when there are problems with vessel, such as space problems, change in port rotation etc…
c. ANF Hold.
This applies when shipper has not cleared their cargo from Anti Narcotics Force.

18. What are cancelled shipment charges?
- In case empty container is delivered to shipper from the terminal and then shipper decides to cancel the shipment, cancel shipment charges will be applicable, no free days will be offered on cancelled shipments, Tariff for advancement will be applied from day the container was released till the day the container was received empty.
19. Why are free days not applicable on cancelled shipments?
- Free days are only applicable on matured shipments only, as the unit that was delivered to shipper was not in Line’s use, charges should be borne by the shipper.
20. What is late hour surcharge?
- Sometimes due to urgency or any other issue client requires services after official working hours, for which 50% of actual fee will be charges extra to cover the administrative costs.
